Silly Clay Guy

Purposely off looking mad scientist clay guy for some animation assignments I'll be doing in the next few weeks. I am reminded of Bill Cosby for some reason.

Tell-Tale Brass

Who has a one-track mind? I have a one track mind...

OC meme (or I am really spending too much time thinking about this)

I ran into this meme. And so I did the first part and drew ten of my own characters from three different stories I've been thinking about.

It's really sketchy -- not a finished piece.

It got a little cut off, and the writing's not super legible  and all the characters are out of order, so here's the key. Green is "Fade to Color", blue is "Wish Upon the Stars" and purple has yet to be titled but is about a seer.
  1. Carys
  2. Jeffrys
  3. Kay
  4. Isau
  5. Sarah
  6. Darrin
  7. The Magician
  8. Cassie
  9. The Queen Bee
  10. Danny
As you can probably tell by the Queen Bee, there's a range is how surreal the stories are.

Animation Project - Old Hand Man Sketchwork

So I've actually been animating recently, here's some work building up a loop of my many-handed old sage putting away books in his shoppe of oddities. Still a lot of inbetweening to be done but I'm pretty happy with it. (Image links to animated GIF)

The Gift

Okay, so the title is like a middle school writing prompt, if you come up with a better one let me know.

Cupid's Curse

At least this one has a plot?

I think it starts strong and starts to fall apart about a third of the way through.

Whale's Tale

I just got a box of my stuff from Japan today (really exciting stuff). Anyways, inside I found one of my school notebooks (Japanese Pop Culture if you want to know the class) where i'd sketched a design. i think it turned out pretty well, just needs color now!

Ok here's something i made last weekend in a glass fusing class using a kiln.

not too bad for a first attempt though i turned out to be horrendious at cutting the glass

Printer paper and colored pencil portraits

I've decided to play around with printer paper, because it makes the pencil much smoother.
Self portrait (because I find it easiest to get myself sit still and model)
And Patrick (from a photo):

Drawing like this reminds me of high school.

One, By Spilled Blood

This sucks. It really does, it's all over the place and so, yeah.
One of these days I pray that I have the talent to do it over. Do it right.

Ravens Concept Art

Starting my stop motion final now, and I'm basing it off of The Seven Ravens fairytale with flat paper upright in 3 dimensional space. So, this is a very crude concept page representation of a scene I had to make for class.
