Hey guys! sry i know it's been a while... kinda hard when your computer and camera both need therapy and i don't do computer graphics/drawing... but that's all about to change once i get my new toy up and running!

ok so i've gotten back into the glass blowing community and it feels great... if only my work would start reflecting it. So here's the first peice i've blown for a while. The shape and stuff arent' great but i wanted to test out the color (beautiful!) so now i'm either gonna keep it around as a fun candy dish, use it for design/sand blasting pratice or smash it to cut designs out of for other projects... haven't decided which yet. Dang peice jsut cut me so maybe i'm gunning for smashing it, but the drawing practice would be more beneficial. especially since i plan on learning how to acid etch pictures onto peices... anyone know how to do that btw? Jennica?

  1. AMG Heather, I'm so excited to see more of your glass work! Also, what did you get commissioned for?

  2. @ acid etching: cover it with an etching ground, scrape off the ground where you want your image and toss it in a bucket of acid?

    also don't forget there's a laser-cutter at the U

    Hope that helps
